    Default Imperium

Could someone explain to me how the Imperium works? How long does the Imperium last and what does it effect? It's a pain to siege out anywhere and so I imagine campaigning would be aswell. (I'm only round 20 turns in)

Imperium is fairly well explained here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperium

As a concept of the Romans that basically gives authority to a man to do 'something' within the confines of that 'imperium'. We applied this to Generals in order to assign certain levels of loyalty based on whether the commander respected his imperium and those who gave it to him, or ignored the fact that it was for a limited time. It is not a perfect system, and it will be worked on in the future. It's one of those things that needed a lot more testing than we could give it, and there has been input about it that says it needs to be changed and refined.

Does it affect anything other than loyalty?

    Effect Loyalty -5
I think it does not affect anything else besides loyalty and the worst negative effect is -5 loyalty after the 5 years of "wandering".

Very interesting, dvk, is RS team planning to make some changes about Imperium trait? You've just waken my curiosity .

I remember that I have complained about Imperium in 0-trun campaign, but in 1-tun I cope with very easily as this campaign is less intense and sometimes it take some turns to build or rebuil legions so legatus has nothing else to do as to sit and wait . The only way I get loaylty penalties is when laying long sieges, but this loyalty decrease has not caused me any bad outcomes so far.
