this is the most vicious gaming community i have ever seen, we got people threatening to sue, we get complain thread after complain thread about loosing trust and never pre ordering again. if you guys hate this game so much don't play it. ever. i could care less. i respect the healthy constructive criticism because if we don't complain about some things they will never get fixed.. but u guys need to tone it down a bit. jesus.

It's a combination of things that makes people angry, the beta testing release, the cutting of features, the broken aspects of the game, Creative Assembly's DLC strategies, not enough effort in supporting modding, and some questionable marketing and development strategies that we've been reading about in certain articles as of late.

This sums it up the most. Lots of said flak has come from the long time players with high yet fair expectations, and imho it's well deserved flak.

Personally I would have loved to of being in the position of saying, excellent game CA, very well done indeed, simply cannot wait for all those DLC's you have got planned for us. That was why I pre-ordered the game and paid £1300 for the PC to be able to do so.

It's impossible for people to be supportive and intelligent and realistic on the internet! If people were having a face to face with CA management, they wouldn't say 10% of the filth that people say on these forums to their faces. And to those who think "yes I would! I tell it like it is! First about the rape comment, I would ask for proof, but I've seen enough filth on youtube comments to take you at your word. So you found 1 immature idiot and made a sweeping judgement of the rest. Fair fellow you are.

As for getting a chance to talk face to face with anybody with authority at CA, I wouldn't have problem with it.
I'm a diplomatic kind a guy and would ask relevant questions, like why was the game released half finished, why did you use dishonest marketing tactics, is this a new policy, etc, etc.

But no meeting would ever take place because every question that would be asked would be deflected or answered with a lie.So that is why CA would not dare give a face to face.

And some friendly advise, don't get so upset at people because they don't agree with you, or because occasionally you come across some a-hole telling you your stupid for what you believe. You find those types on both sides of this issue.

And if you believe CA is a trustworthy company dedicated to its customers you have that right just as I have the right that ,at least at the executive level , CA has just ran a very successful scam using that magical name 'Rome 2.'

I agree with him that, being given the fact that CA has clearly revealed her intetions (streamlining with the intention to bring the game to consoles and create a mixed genre), it would be positive for my interests, if another developer decides to invest in this specific type of strategy games (combination of Battles and Political Administration).

By my experience, I noticed that the vast majority of members is expressing her reasonable concerns politely, even when she critisizes Rome II, but I wouldn't have a problem coming face to face with a CA employee. He should take care of his back, considering how sneaky and backstabbing dastard I am.

How does a random Youtube comment characterize the whole number of the people with a negative opinion about Rome II? By the way, calling a gorgeous descendant of Eva as a CA chick, when you refer to ill-tasted rape jokes, is a bit contradictory.

I agree. this is just a backlash from the crappy release version. they might improve the game experience with next patches but the truth is that they release it as an incomplete game with less features than promised.

It's still difficult to make games when so much of the community is so hostile. Money isn't even a factor for most of the actual devs, they get paid the same salary if the game made more money than even GTA5.

It still doesnt' help they're so hostile. Not buying the game and being polite on the forum would've sent a much better message. If half the TW community didn't buy the game next time, CA would be forced to change things up. It seems pretty simple honestly.

Yah, I would've be suprised if most of the increased budget was marketing. I think everyone at this point should be aware pre-ordering, even listening to just reviewers (except for a few), is tripe at this point.

I go with the community is always hostile option. delivering or not is just a measure of how hostile people will be here.

Agree, it's kind of like LoL, there is just a natural tendency for abuse because of human nature and the structure of the game.
