    Default Civil War

Right, err, so I am playing as the Suebi and Ive already established the German Confederation (ha, nothing changed, just the name, no new units, no new emblem/standard, hehe) and I got a question about the Civil War. Does it actually do anything? Like in Empire, where you could change your government and everything? Can I create something like a German Kingdom? I dont like the confederation word. I would much prefer kingdom. My guy should not just be "the head of the party" but how about king? Yay! Sounds much better.

Anyway, does anyone know anything about this? Civil War + changing government? I know that you can do it as Rome (although I got no idea how, always start as a republic and no matter how I try nothing happens; but nevermind that, Im interested in the Bearded North).

    Pretty please?

You get a name change to (Faction) (Government Type) and at least for Rome when becoming a empire -15 upkeep and -25 corruption but nothing new for remaining republic.

As Rome, after the Civil War and after you chose to become an Empire you get the bonuses posted above but your faction leader also becomes Emperor.

So you can have your Emperor safely in Rome as a statesman or you can send him in the field to personnally lead a Legion to go and civilize with steel the Hairy and Beardy northern barbarians
