Wouldn't it be great if CA would hand over Rome and M2TW engines over to the fan to let us create what we wanted with it. Imagine almost unlimited regions, units and factions, sea battles, unit multiplier and dismounted cavalry all in the M2TW engine

They said that they have lost the code since Med 2 was developed on Australia and when that office got closed down the code "was lost". I rather call it but of course I can't prove it.

Had we the code of Med 2 on our hands, CA and SEGA would had though twice before releasing Empire or Rome 2 in such states.

Really ? That's a shame, I admit I was still hoping we could fix the annoying bugs of the med2's engine one day...

Probably CA's PR judging by their posts about Rome 2 sadly.

Who knows, they might have it stashed somewhere unwilling to tell outsiders....

I didn't even bother staring a TW:R2 campaign without adding some mods first, only problem is that it early day and CA keep releasing patches. Thier are a lot out their trying to add aspects of EB to Rome, including realistic unity names, multi roman reforms, 4 turns per year, although no winter so might as well make it 3 and pretend no one does anything in the winter, etc it's just at the momment none of them are combining everything. I'm sure I putting a version of EB into Rome II isn't impossible, and you'll trade off the non editable map with with things like loads of extra factions and slightly more interesting diplomatic relations.
