Default Rome II VS EB II, EB II WINS

I like everything about Europa Barbarous, of course the graphics is not like Rome II, but that's the only thing that is good about Rome II which EB II does not offer. Here is a list of things that Rome II is really bad at
    - No blood, not even the reddish tint in MIITW
    - Only 183 Regions and they cut off India and Scandinavia with a lot of Africa, calling it Terra Incognita, why!?!!?
    - You lose Hastati and all the Polybian and Camilian era units by 250BC
    - Encyclopedia, you have to connect to internet
    - Really bad CAI and BAI ( Campaign AI and Battle AI )
    - Bad optimization
    - The Barbarians have gaint Balista!! WHY
    - Hastati can hold there line against the best units untill you get your slowest units to destroy there flank support and come behind them.
    - Also fire ammunition for Javelin Cavalry, Javelin throwers like Velites and also horse archers.
Rome II currently is in my opinion quite bad
And EB II is alot better

    Thank you captain obvious

This is just plain weird because you see these kinds of threads on mod forums that aren't even related to the time period. This joke got old like 2000 years ago

we can only comment on what has released, but one can assume that europe barbarorum II would be better if some day it released.I can talk about bello mundi mod, which is now in its version 1.1. and this mod have a excellent future.we think that europe barbarorum II is better, more historical, best units in its design and more faithful to history and many more things, but if not released are only assumptions.

I finished my Legendary Pontus campaign in TW:R2 a week ago and I can't bring myself to begin another. It's fun right until you realize every faction (besides the unit pool) is basically identical (tech tree, buildings etc).
I also, like most people here, played EB1 for an incredible amount of time. So I kind of find comparing EB2 to Rome2 insulting. It's like comparing a purebred hound with the carcass of a stray dog.

So, yeah. EB2 in the current state that fans have seen (previews, twitter news and pics) if superior. Keep up the good work.

Maurya, better off posting a rickroll than that poorly done dejaVu.
Not to mention I still remember you opening a thread just to demand the release of EB2. Can't take any of this for granted.

    Bobbin is EB2 released yet?

EDIT: Patois is a legit English dialect. Deal with it.

I was just joking, i know it's not released yet, and i did not demand a release date, i just asked if it would be released within the year.
Oh but it was my mistake as the EB team do not like those type of threads coming up, anyway i am sorry. EB does not stand for Europa Barbarorum when i say it, i mean Encyclopedia Brittanica, so when i say EB II i mean 2nd edition Encyclopedia Brittanica.

If they take away the siege weapons from the 'barbarians', it's game over for them. Siege weapons are godly in Rome 2. A few ballista with flaming and regular shot can annihilate 1/3rd or half of an elite army before it hits your ranks AND snipe the general. Click to focus the general especially with regular rounds (like in Empire's cannons) and it's only a matter of volleys, sometimes one, and he's dead.

To balance taking them away and still making it fair they'd have to nerf them horribly, make them more innacurate, or ungodly expensive, limit AI use of them, make them slow down campaign movement a lot, or make them only end-game tech tree material

But they should nerf roman units like Hastati, they can survive the most strongest units, even a gestae, and that is horribly inaccurate, also they can add different units to the factions, they barely have any units and all the 'sub' 'non-playable' factions have the exact same units as there corresponding cultural faction, only difference is that they have different colour scheme, if only CA had took ATLEAST 1 month to reaserch, and maybe delay the release day by 1-2 months, it would be a lot better, and i thought the Rome II would focus on historical accuracy, did anyone else hear that

At least they did an effort on the unit's historical accuray this time. Compared to Rome 1 it's day and night. Look at their gauls of carthaginians, for example, their unit rosters are close to what you'll find in EB2. Too bad the good is still mixed up with the bad (barbarian ballistas, marian legionaries in the samnite campaign...). But who can blame them ? Look at the mods, the first thing many modders did was to add corinthian helmets to many units...

However, Beside the units, the game is really flawed in my opinion and I cannot understand some of their design choices. Armies that turn into fleets, really ? Time will tell if their patches and the mods can make this game good, for now I don't really have fun playing it.
