Crashes... Crashes EVERYWHERE!

Started to play Roma Surrectum 2 again because Rome II is a quagmire right now and i've kinda stopped playing it cause of that. So i installed Rome surrectum 2 again and I'm playing as the romans and on my 4-5th turn in, I finish a battle, and my game crashes as soon as i press the check button to go back to the campaign map, I crash. Also, I'm using the submod that is supposed to lessen the morale and make battles quicker? can someone please help me? I don't want to lose hope on the mod i love too... as if rome 2 wasn't enough

RS2 is very stable so either you installed something badly or you are having Antivirus related problems. Have you disabled autosave in preferences ? You should do so. Is it a settings problem ? You can try lowering you graphic settings. Did you have any problems before using the submod ?

i don't believe its a settings problem. It literally just CTDs as soon as i press that check mark that is supposed to take me back to the campaign map. maybe it is an autosave feature problem. I will try to tick the autosave feature off and report back

Autosave is one of the major players in the kind of CTD you are reporting....as well as anti-virus programs running while playing RTW.

Somewhere else was mentioned that if you wait a bit before clicking the check mark reduces the CTD's. I must say it works as a charm! Try it, maybe it will help you too.

Not sure if autosave causes ctd's but it clearly causes save corruption. Go into preferences and change AUTOSAVE:TRUE to FALSE.

I keep two separate save files, e.g. "end.turn" and another save that I use just before a big battle.

there is a thread that mentions a program called CFF Explorer. I tried it and haven't had a CTD since; a wonderous thing to be sure.

I was experiencing the same problem (CTD after battles). Seems to be an insuffiecient memory problem. But this thread made all CTD's disappear!! It was originaly posted regarding Empire TW but solved CTD's issues with all my TW games (from Rome to Shogun)
