Can only select Shader Model 3
I can only selectShader Model 3, the other settings are greyed out. I think this may be a steamsetting because I initially set a launch option on Rome 2 in Steam usingthe dxlevel command with a setting of 98 (this sets the game to use DirectX9.8, shader 3) due to performance problems. I have subsequently upgraded mygraphics card and want to use level 5 but cannot.
I have removedthe command from the launch options for Rome 2 in Steam.
I have edited thePreferences Script to use Shader Model 5 as it is set to 3 but every time Istart the game it stays on 3 and the script setting reverts back to 3 when Iexit.
I have renamedthe Preferneces Script so it creates a new one but still the same problem.
I have setoptions in the Nvidia Experience program, where it states the optimum settingis Shader 5, but again this makes no difference and when I exit the game the Nvidiaprogram again tells me that Shader 3 is the current setting and shader 5 is theoptimum setting.
I have tried anautoconfig command in the laucnh options to reset video settings but this doesnothing.
I think a settingis coming from Steam and overwriting the other settings but I do not know whereto find and change this. I am not sure it will make much of a difference it isjust very frustrating, has anyone else had a similar problem with this or anyother game?
My graphics cardis the GeForce GTX 770.

Re: Can only select Shader Model 3
I have just updated my graphics driver to the latest version (version 327.23) released 2 days ago and I now have the option to use Shader Model 5.
