Pronounced "Ahat" it's a Bulgarian heavy metal band, and it's ****ing awesome. I love it. Power riffs, great lyrics, SUPERB vocals....oh man. Any Bulgarians on TWC?

Also, my priest was a member of Ahat, coincedentally. He was just driving my brother and I home from church, and he turns on his CD, and says, this is my band. Apparently the name is an acronym for the their names. He was the drummer. Of course he could be lying, but why? I could have just misunderstood him, the music was playing so loud.....

Anyway, they're really good. Check them out

Sorry, off topic. What sort of metal are this band? traditional type stuff, or death metal type stuff?

I guess so ........I mean he was originally a very good musician. He drums and sings. He only became a priest when his father, while on his deathbed, asked him to become one.

Yeah, and he told me that they were really influenced by Deep Purple. I don't listen to Deep Purple, so I wouldn't know

Anyway, no, I haven't heard any other Bulgarian bands, the first time I actually heard bulgarian music was when we were driving in the car and he put in Ахат. He also put in some other bands, BTR and.......Kafe I think it was called.

By the way, do you know what Ахат stands for? He told me, but I forgot.
