    Default Unified AnimPack and Res Gestae Animations in one pack

    Hi everyone,

    On request of florin80, I've made this little package available to the community. It includes:
    - RTW-BI Unified Skeletons-Animations Pack
    - EB Animations Pack
    - Prometheus animations for Res Geastae . You can find more on them at this thread .
    These new animations consist of: cavalry anim., standard bearer anim. and legionary anim.. That's it (well, that's already more than great!).

    DOWNLOAD LINK REMOVED.
    The package has disappeared from Filefront, and I don't know where it is on my HDs. Furthermore, I am not able to provide any support for this anymore.

    Useful link on how to implement your skeletons and how the whole system works.

    Attention!
    The pack does not include a modified DMB nor a modified EDU, so you need to implement the skeletons yourself.

    Doh! I've just spent a while fixing King_Azzole's pack to my liking.. but this one might be cool. So how does this differ from King_Azzole's?

    This is suppose to be a pack that has all the animations from the RTRPE optional animations pack plus the animations made by Prometheus for Res Gestae. You`ll have to implement them yourself. For more details about the new animations clik this link:

    this is so cool! i always wanted to use Prom's animations!
    but whats the difference between his sarissa animation with EB's?

    There is no sarissa animation from Res Gestae in this pack, as Prometheus has only released the Roman pack of his mod. I'll add more details about it in the first post.

    Nice work. But for the love of bebe jesus can someone please make a square shield overhand spear animation? It is just plain sad that the Trairii and other non-phalanx square shield units must use underhand attacks.

    Uhh.. what's with the "fs_Prome_hc_" animations? It refers to them in the Res Gestae readme, but when i implement them the game says it can't find them!

    EDIT: Never mind just a silly typo

    Copy of the Res Gestae Skeletons List.txt included in the pack:

    "fs_Prome_hc" skeletons are for horsemen, no matter if they are Roman or not.
    "fs_Prome_standard_bearer" is for Romans aquilifer and signifer. I haven' tested it with other factions standard bearer, but there shouldn't be any problem.

    fs_Prome_hc_swordsman
    fs_Prome_standard_bearer
    The first two lines I added to clarify what the new skeletons refer to.
    The actual skeletons you implement in DMB are the 4 following...

    Success! I used the horses made by Prometheus and they work fine. Now the sacred band hold the reins of their horses.

    How can I get my grubby mits on these horses?
    Also, which cavalry holds the two-handed pike?

    Well, they are included in Res Gestae. They are not stand alone for download so you need to take them from there and integrate them manually. Link to Res Gestae download thread:

    So far only the roman pack has been released and only the horses for the roman factions are available and I also saw some with celtic on there name, but I didn`t tried them yet.

    EDIT: look in the Res Gestae DMB to see what are the names for the new horses. They have Prom or Prome in their name so you can`t miss them.

    I told you. I used the horses made by Prometheus for Res Gestae and the animation for them(fs_Prome_hc).

    Okay, sorry. Let's just get this straight: get the Prometheus mod, get the horse skins/textures, then use the prome animations and everything will be hunky-dory?

    Exactly. But keep this in mind:
    1. there are only horses for roman factions there(and maybe some celtic ones). About 20 textures and 1 model. Hopefully there will be others when he will release the next packs. If you didn`t know this, Prometheus has decided to release its mod step by step via a number of packs. At this time only the pack for the romans has been released.
    2. if you decide to make something official(meaning releasing it to the public) you`ll have to get permission from Prometheus as the permission TiFlo got was only for the animations and does not cover the horse skins.

    EDIT: why would I want to delete your post? You wanted to clear things and I confirmed your thoughts. Good luck with getting those splendid horse and the animations integrated! :original:

    What about the legionary-animation from Prometheus? The animation from signifer_one doesn't work well with the promethean legions, because the sword sticks into their scutum and their legs go through it, too!

    Yes, how about the fs_Prome_Gladiusman? It`s listed in the Res Gestae in the animation folder. I tried putting that in and I gold a CTD. Didn`t you include it?
