    Default What's your R2TW soundtrack?

I'm behind the times with my movie soundtracks, unfortunately. All I've come up with to listen to in background of R2TW is Gladiator, Troy, and Braveheart soundtrack. I've tried throwing some others in the mix, but for some reason they just don't seem right. (Original Conan the Barbarian and LOTR soundtracks, etc.) Any suggestions? What do you listen to when you play the game?

Some Two Steps From Hell songs fit well enough, I'd say. Perhaps Spartacus (the movie, haven't watched the series so I wouldn't know about that) as well? My memory of the soundtrack is vague but I assume it would not clash with the theme too much.

Sometimes I listen to Nausicaa of the valley of the wind's soundtrack while playing the grand campaign.

Why not play some reconstructed ancient roman or greek music?

There's a couple albums released by a group called Synaulia which dedicates themselves to the study of Ancient Roman era music.

Ensemble De Organographia also is similar to them and has a few albums on Ancient Greek and Egyptian music.

Thomas Bergersen with a touch of Two Steps from Hell thrown in for good measure. Just the right sort of epic to keep you going.

I like to play the old soundtrack from the original rome TW. After all, aren't the originals the best?
