Default Client states never pay tribute. Is that a bug as well?

Client states are supposed to pay tribute but never do. Anybody know why? The whole point is for them to pay for their "protection". But they never pay. Something im doing wrong or is this also broken?

They need to actually be making money for you to take anything. What they pay you is from their 'profits', curretly the game has a pretty good problem with factions having multiple stacks dying off due to food and money shortages - i have clients/satrappies that pay me but i had to cash them up first so they could develop a bit first.

They pay, you have to go to the economy tab, where you see the calculations table for the next turns projected profit is. They pay... only its very little like 100-200 moneys.

Did you check your national P&L table? Tribute payments from client states should show up there.
