Rome 2 Update Wont download

Rome 2 Patch 2 have been released since last Tuesday but when Steam did not downloaded anything ...!

and when I tried today to play multiplayer it says to me that the other players have a different version

It's an " opt in beta" not an auto Steam update.
Right click on Rome 2 go to options...

I try it 2 times .. every time it download an a uptade ( 15 MB in the first time and 11MB in the second time ) .

If you had the 2.0 Beta then you shouldn't have to download anything.

some members in Total War Forums faced this problem ... they said that to solve this problem u must uninstall the game and install it again so steam will automatic patch the game ... install it from the cd take one hour ...

I will do it and see the result .

Its no longer available because the patch is out of beta, if you opted-in while it was in beta then you already have it and you dont need to load anything, if you didnt opt-in you should have downloaded it a few days back.

Are you using any mods currently ? or have you used any previously?

Well if you're using mods then thats the reason. Unless both parties have the exact same mods its gonna show as you guys having different versions.

Hi. I have the same problem. I installed the game yesterday, downloaded it from steam using activation codes. But mine is also stil version 1.0.0 Does anyone know how to solve this problem..?

I just changed the language of the game and it started to update :s It was set to english and i just changed it to turkish. Perhaps changing it to another language will work for you to..

I move the mods but the problem did not solved ... I uninstall the game and now I am installing it again from the Disks ... I will report you guys after an hour (:

after install the game steam still downloading something , it is about 1.2GB ..
