    Default help with installing game

I just bought the Command and Conquer the Last Decade for my new pc when i tried to install it, it didnt run so I tried to autorun it when everytime i try to click on it it says that "Win32 can't run the Application" i checked my driver ( because the game is for pc-dvd rom and my driver is a dvd/cd-rw, but i tried it on my moms computer and it works and she has the same drive as me) so if anybody can help it would be greatly appreacitated.

Did you try going to the CD manually in windows explorer and running the setup.exe file?

    Have a try at this:

Go to start -> run -> and type this: "d:/setup.exe -Lgntforce". d - or whatever your cdrom drive is called...

Its a longshot but give it a go

What are the minimum OS requirements for the game?
The game is having trouble interacting with the Windows API (kind of like a set of virtual drivers)...

I believe you mean "Command and Conquer: The 'First' Decade"? Did you get a version designed for 64-bit Windows? (it should say on the box). If so then the reason that it does not work would be that you have a 32-bit Windows. The 64-bit program will not be compatible, you will need to take it back and get a 32-bit version. If this is not the case there are a number of reasons for the error found on this page however none seem to match your situation.

So I was correct? You can upgrade but you would need to buy a new 64-bit processor and a new 64-bit operating system. I think you would be better off buying the 32-bit version of the game (if there is one).

There are NO pure 64bit game out right now. It's probably something wrong with your Windows XP, since you said it works on your mom's computer. Try doing a virus/spy ware scan.

I really doubt the game is 64-bit... It'd only run on about 3% of their target audience (gamers) - those would be the people with XP64, Vista beta, or a 64-bit version of linux.

What Operating system is it using, Windows XP? If so then it's 32-bit.

If you bought your computer from a store or online retailer, then its not 64bit. 64bit Windows is something you have to buy and install your self, no company is going to pair their computer up with 64bit Windows because no one need it.
