Icon8 Has the Massive Diplomacy Bug Been Fixed?

As I'm sure some noticed, when the game came out (and when I last played) the campaign diplomacy was broken due to a glitch. On the faction screen in diplomacy, it shows your actual power rating when compared to the faction, however when you engage in diplomacy, due to a widespread glitch, it sets your power rankings as equal. Because of this, puny little nations have the gall to refuse trade or non agression pacts with my mighty empire (I assume many have similar problems with diplomacy) because they are being told, thanks to the glitch, that they are as tough as me. The glitch makes offering AI treaties a real pain in the ass, and it's kind of game-breaking in a campaign that was supposed to rely heavily on diplomacy rather than all out blitzing warfare (as I have had to do since my enemies seem intent on emulating the AI factions of rome 1 and refusing surrender until after they're dead).

So, has it been fixed, and has anyone figured out how to deal with this bug?

I don't think that's the reason they don't accept deals. My neighbors and 10 satrapies were all happily accepting deals and Non agression pacts with me. Then suddenly they started breaking trade deals one after the other and nobody accepts non agression pacts. Perhaps it's because my reputation hit the max.
In 180 turns, I have broken Non Agression pacts like 3-4 times but now even those that are "friendly" or "very friendly" with me, refuse to trade with me. From 18 trade partners I'm down to 10-11. I have 15 Satrapies now and I trade with less than 8 of them, allthough they're all friendly with me.

Can someone tell me why? Does it have to do with my reputation bar being at max?

Most likely because you lost settlements with certain trade resources so now that you don't have them and or only import them the factions that were trading with you for the resource no longer see a need to trade with you or accept new deals. In my Rome campaign hardly anyone would trade with me until I got a hold of wine and marble then all of the sudden the AI factions were asking me for trade.

In my current Pontus play through you start with 2-3 resources and can grab more in just a few turns. So within 10 turns I was trading with all known factions (took my only enemies lands) and within 20 turns of that I was trading with almost every faction on the Mediterranean and black sea. Now (79 turns in) I am making a ridiculous amount of money each turn and and a monopoly on wine. Soon I will finally start the long awaited war with the Seleucids and have a monopoly on both Silk and glass, then go for an economic victory.

I have all of the strategic resources and I didn't lose any settlement in the past 30 turns or so. I play defensively and don't lose settlements.

I think I wrote this before, but the thing that makes diplomacy so confusing in all Total War game is that the AI never states why they refuse the offer. If they actually state the reason why they won't accept the deal on the diplomacy screen, it would make things much more easier to understand.

Even in the current state, there should be a reason or a trigger that makes the AI decline the offer, so is it so difficult to display that?

Yes, now they tell us more about why the AI has a certain opinion of our faction, but not why it has a certain opinion of a deal, while in some cases it's obvious, in others it's very cryptic.

Hell, maybe this could even be integrated into the gameplay. Let's say we bring back the diplomat unit back.

You have a diplomat with low skill, he won't be able to tell the real nuance and intention of the faction he's dealing with, so you only get the usual vague answer. Have a highly skilled diplomat, and he will be able to tell the real intention of the faction and the player gets to know why they won't accept the offer.

This way having a highly skilled diplomat will actually have importance unlike in the older TW games, which just gave slightly higher chance for the offer to be accepted.

    1) you have to see the relations
    2) you have to see if they want something that you can offer in trade, usually its very simple they have all the things you can trade
    3) diplomacy as the game reaches late stages becomes increasingly more difficult to cut a deal, specially as your rep goes up
    4) doesn't matter your power the factions have no reason to cut a deal with you because you have X number of provinces and Y number of armies and navies
    5) I would really welcome that the AI told you why the deal wasn't possible
