    Default Never-ending battles...

I've been having a lot of winning battles that just keep going until the timer runs out. All enemy units have either fled or been killed. I tried a Search on here, which proved useless, but I can't be the only one having this problem. Or can I?

Check no battle time limit, too easy

That happens from time to time. Been a problem since at least the first Rome. That's why I never use time limit. That and I never want to rush my artillery.

It's an issue with reinforcements. Whenever you are fighting multiple armies there can only be 40 units for either side at once, then when some die they should reinforce but this isn't always the case.

That's why you're stuck waiting for the timer to run out when the enemy is routed.

I just love the timer. I have quite a lot of battles where I'm getting besieged by a way bigger AI army and win when the time runs out (because the AI just stands there).

They're hard to find, in earlier TW they were still high-lighted on the tactical map. So if one of them gets stuck in a tree or something you got a big problem trying to find them. You can simply quit the battle, you remain the victor.
Proculus: Divine Caesar, PLEASE! What have I done? Why am I here?
    Caligula: Treason!
Proculus: Treason? I have always been loyal to you!
Caligula: [laughs insanely] That IS your treason! You're an honest man, Proculus, which means a bad Roman! Therefore, you are a traitor! Logical, hmm? Ha, ha, ha!
