    Default Converting Variant Mesh Models

Would someone please point me in the direction of the tool to convert the variant mesh models into 3ds Max format?

    Oh, lame.

Is there one for Shogun II that works partially? I don't care if the rigging works. I just want to have the models to test out re-texturing easier.

You can open S2TW models (variant_part_mesh) using Ultimate Unwrap 3d + ETW plugin (work with ETW/NTW/S2TW).
To create new models, you can create them using 3ds max and then convert them to S2TW file formats using CS2 converter (only work with 3ds max 2009 and 2010) and then BoB.

If you want to help to create a converter for R2TW, you can have a look to this thread : Modification of 3d Meshes
The first task before creating a tool, is to understand how the file format is built.
