    Icon5 Unit size bug/limit

I'm making my 1st unit pack. Everything is okay except for number of men. Basically, I'm trying to set my unit size to 300 men. I did specify that in Num_Men. But in-game my custom unit only shows as 225 men. Anyone know why?

    Cheers!

Have Unit Size set to ultra in the options?

Oh I have it at large. My bad. Didn't realize that 225 was the limit for the large setting. Thanks for the fast reply! It's working now

Is there a limit on Ultra? What is the absolute limit for unit size?

The in game settings are just a % of the unit size. Ultra = 100% Large = 75% etc

You can up the actual counts via modding, can probably go pretty big, I know one mod has up to 480 men per unit. However anything over default size has bugs/glitches when it comes to transports/coastal battles.

The transport/costal glitch can be fixed by a mod. There's another field (column), max num of men, in the unit dbs; just make the number in that column agree with the number of men in the unit. Enemy, will land all of the troops. If use Radious's mod, change the max number in both the campaign and battle mods. There is a column for elephants too, that is, you have to change two columns, not just the size of the unit, but the animals, but I can't remember which of the two mods it is, but you have to change them in both. I edited mine and now all of the troops land and are able to move. I went down to the beach and saw that all of the ships were empty. Trouble is, there is still a bug, and the landed troops are not very aggressive, even the ones which were always on land are not aggressive. They should be, the AI says that they are the attackers and I am the defender. The Radious mod has made the game playable. They should pay him. There are still issues, but a lot of those are probably in rome2.exe, which a pcm app won't edit, since it is a binary executable file. Hopefully, CA will fix this file, like getting rid of the magic flags, etc

That just fixes one bug, but still there are more. You're talking about max_men_per_ship and num_mounts. That gets rid of the dual transports, but then you'll have half the units spawning underground causing the same issue.

Is it possible to make a 1 man unit? (I didn't buy the game yet so I cannot try it myself.)
