    Default Carthagearchers

Where are they? Or just sitting around on elephants again and not as footones?

Are you sure that you build correct buildings? there are a few different barracks. so, you must build the one which allows you to recruit archers.

I obviously checked the whole unitselection from Carthage, and the buildings as well, there's an ingameenzyclopedia. And there aren't any archers, except I am just blind. That's why I am posting here.

http://dsi0fanyw80ls.cloudfront.net/...rom_carthageNo archers whatsoever, but you can recruit mercenary ones from Crete I believe. Was a massive let down for me also.

As I can see, Rome has at least 6 (Cretan, Dacian, Egyptian, Persian, Sabaean and Syrian) Archerauxilias, but Carthage zero? Seriously, what is this.

Well, what Archers should Carthage have? In fact you could recruit Cretan Archers, but that's it. Maybe there should be some Numidian Archers as well, but actually Carthage did not use Archers very often, they focused rather on Slingers & Peltasts.

In my opinion the lack of more iberian, numidian (+ some celtic) mercenaries and of course the african elite infantry is much more significant and & dissapointing. Carthage should have a very diversified unit roster, but in the end they have a very limited choice not reflecting their typical army of mercenaries at all.

There weren't any Carthaginian archers historically as far as i know. They had Balaeric slingers as mercenaries and Numidians had some foot archers who it's possible Carthage could have hired as mercenaries (though i don't know of any mention of them being in a Carthaginian army in a battle). For some stupid reason Rome II splits Carthage into one playable faction and two unplayable AI client state ones. If it put them all together as Carthage was historically then you'd have the Balaeric islands and some African provinces you could recruit numidian archers in from the start.

No Numidian archers (auxilia)? Thats a dissapointment.

For Rome there are numidian archers (auxilia). But not for Carthage. Also no real usful other mercenaries like heavy Iberians, Iberi Lanceri, Numidian Nobles, Celts,...
