    Immortals are no longer available for me to recruit at Tier 3 of the Noble Barracks. Is this design or oversight?

    nice idea !


    I thought to avoid an early recrutment campaign to add a condition. for example: hold the Seleucie of the tiger (region with Babylone). It will give an "aim" in your campaign to build your empire

    To the upkeep/cost idea:
    It might be a good idea to switch everything to the other extrem (still would like it to be unique) which means 0 upkeep and something like 1500 - 2000 coins each for recruitment (and they will follow you until their death).
    What you get from that to support your own idea:
    - it fits the purpose to buy them into your army and they swore loyalty until their death (dismissing them wont make any sense cause of 0 upkeep)
    - compared to the other extreme it makes them the most valuable units in your army cause you invested alot into them (you cant just dismiss and recruit again) so they do not feel like mercenaries
    - they would feel even more unique and limited cause you dont want even one of them to die (even it is because of the high recruitment cost)

    And do not worry it will not be able to exploit 0 upkeep cost as long as those units are limited. Letting them die to recruit them again for 0 upkeep cost makes no sense cause it is better for you to keep them alive which again fits the purpose of your own ideas and prevents the exploit.

    Yes but unit stats are adjusted for the vanilla version (beta 4).
    Radious version with adjusted stats are not yet ready but it s planned.

    Could you do a quick fix on the upkeep/cost issue if you like the idea. Right now I dont even wait for them to refresh after a fight cause it is faster to just dismiss and recruit again

    May I make a suggestion of adding a unit of pikemen armored in the Persian style? Either immortals or just the bronze/iron scale, it wouldn't matter, but I would dearly like to be able to use horse archers and pikemen in the same army.

    ok new version up.

    Fixed:
    - flying sword
    - Camel spearmen voice
    - new recrument system for immortals:

    Immortal swordmen/archers/spearmens: cost 2000 / upkeep free (need levy_noble 2/3/4 or major city 2/3/4)
    Immortal Elephants cost 4000 / upkeep free (need stable exotic 3)
    Immortal Char cost 3000 / upkeep free (need heavy stable 2/3/4 )

    Yes alcadizzar pikemen are planned

    .. To be honest I don't think this no upkeep version is good either, when you have a big empire you can just spam super elite troops and still have a humongous income.. Couldn't you just make them high cost with balanced upkeep instead of those ridiculous extremes?

    Thats why I wanted to keep it save in my pocket. (downloaded already)
    Anyway, you cant spam it, they are limited! You can spam them if its the other way around cause there is no cost involved to recruit them again. Upkeep makes no sense for balance limited units cause the impact will stay rather rather low.

    You can t spam immortals cause their number are limited

    That's a problem too then, because then parthia will be limited to spamming parthian swordsmen again.. I prefer having a variety to the parthian army and not having some limited mega-troops with extreme cost

    I think you perfectly described immortals (eventhough they are no way overpowerd as far as I checked in custom battles against them)
    There is alot variety in immortals already so you could easly make up a whole army of them with swordmen, spearmen, horses, ...

    Arent there also more different regular parthian units in the roster now??

    Micro, note it s a early beta, more units will come later. Immortals spirit won't be changed.

    Farsovereign, just curious what GEM version do you use? And your sweetFX settings, which one or do you have your own settings customized? I'd really want to have the same cinematic effect your game has showered onto mine.
