How can I tell if I downloaded the patch?

I logged in and played the game but if I downloaded anything it went unnoticed by me. The game started up in the same time as usual.

Is there a way to tell if I'm playing with the new patch?

Unfortunatly it doesn't shows the correct versionumber, but you can check it after starting a new campaign. One change is that it shows the turns to complete a new technology in the main campaign window. Before you had to click on the techbotton to open the techwindow to see how many turns are left. Now you can see in the right corner of the tech botton, how many turns are left in yellow, without open the window.

I saw this in the beta patch 2.0. The official patch isn't up yet.

If you check Rome2's data folder, the date modified will tell you how recently it was patched.

ca never set up a date, just wait for it, you don't want a buggy patch.

Patch 2 is NOT out yet. They said they pushed it back again.

This is a good thing, not a bad thing, have patience!

I don't know, but i did it. I stopped my participation sunday. Just do it and check if you have the techturnnumber in yellow as i decribed in the second post. The next patch going in to beta anyway very soon.

EDIT...Will CA told me on the TW.com that I dont have to opt out of 2.0 beta because I have the patch already. Does this mean they didnt change anything since they put out the beta patch?

something is wrong... i have opted out, restarted steam, and when i checked, i was again opted for beta, with beta 2 patch selected... while final patch 2 didnt started downloading
