    Default v for vendetta

my friend recently saw v for vendetta and love the quote
    Voilà!
In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran,
cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate.
This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi,
now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation,
stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin
van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious
    violation of volition
but had no clue what it meant so ive defined the entire think to make it simpler so please tell me if im correct in my defining of it

    success!
in view, a humble performer who works in vaudeville who has had long experience,
suffered in place of another as both a victim and a villain by the unexpected changes or
Shifts often encountered by fate. This Appearance, no mere porcelain coating of
lack of real value, is a visible evidence of something that is no longer present of
the voice of the people, now having no contents, passed out of existence. However, this
courageous visit of one that is past cause of annoyance, stands lively and has vowed
to destroy these corruptible and poisonous objectionable people leading an immoral and
permitting the violently immoral and exceedingly eager violation of will.

<HonorGlory> You weren't here when the deal between me and Octavian took place.
    <Aristocrat> deal?
<Aristocrat> Ill leave that alone actually
<Evariste> No I wasn't. Corrupt bargain eh? Maybe it's better to leave the past in the past.

    Viola!
Here i am, a humble expert in satirical song and light entertainment; suffering in place of another as both victim and villain by the shifting nature of fate. This appearence, no mere desirable covering of excessive pride, is a trace of the voice of the people, now long gone. However, this courageous appearence of a forgotten problem, stands reanimated and has sworn to destroy these corrupt and poisonous scum who lead immoral ways, and permit the agressive savage and insatiable breach of free will

notes - context is everything! and note where the commas are lol

viola - is an english word in its own right, used to express sucess, or satisfaction, on making a grand entrance, you might proclaim "voila!" on par with "ta-da!"
vaudevillian is indeed "of vaudeville" however vaudeville is not a place, its an art form, a type of light entertainment, most notably linked with satire.
veteran can indeed mean long experience, but expert works just as well
vicissitudes of Fate - i confess to never hearing this one before either lol but put in context and think of the sotry, he suffered in place of his oppressors by the changing fortunes... the changing nature of fate
veneer - good try, but this word has many meanings, and he's not talking about porcelein, he means his disguise. a veneer is a mmore desirable covering of something worse. you often have a veneer of fine wood over a cheaper wood in a cabinet. watches often are nickel with gold paint, and this too is a veneer. his mask covers the burns beneath.
vestige you've put the actual meaning in, which no longer makes sense with what comes after... vestige means something left over from a by-gone era really... traces of the past. his appearence is a trace of the voice of the people from the past... not technically accurate, but many people did support what guy forkes planned.
the voice of the people having no contents makes no real sense... context... vacant means empty or unused, you have to pick a context that fits... remember, they had to go out of their way to find appropriate v words, so they're stretching the language a little, but in this context, there is no real voice of hte people, because its been supressed...
vivified - lively, yes indeed... but again, context, his appearence isn't lively, he's reanimated or resurrected a previously dead symbol. lively as in brought back to life. i went with reanimated as it fit the context better
vowed - if you want to translate, a vow is an oath or promise, to vow is to swear to do something
venal - they're not corruptable, but they are corrupt, and corrupting too i suppose.

the last bit basically means he's sworn to destroy the evil/bad people who have permitted the aggressive abuse/destruction of free will. or the will of the people. the exact adjectives can really be chosen at will, they simply wend with v words lol...

a good translation though overall... whoever wrote that speech spent many a night with a thesaurus i'll be bound. he's resurrected words from this vocabulary seldom contained in the modern methods of linguistical communication.

it was absolutely amazing. for certs, 'tis fully worth the expenditure, brilliant film! awesome!

there's a speech near the start where one of the main characters (V) introduces himself using only v words.

"Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose so let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

oh,its on 'filmflex' on the telly so i'll watch it.

does natalie portman play a very prominent role in the film (it looks like she does)
if so is she good in it?
because i am not a fan of hers and pretty much dislike any film she's in. (along with hugh grant and tom cruise)

hmm.......i hope so,i hope she doesnt ruin the film for me.

i really like these dystopic near-future sci-fi's stories such as 'blade runner','equiliberium','metropolis','fahrenheit 451' and 'minority report' (the matrix as well to a lesser extent)

there is new upcoming film in this genre called 'children of men' its also set in Britain

    http://www.childrenofmen.net/

    looks good.

As an action film? It sucks, go see the Punisher, lots better. But it has some interesting political ideas.
