Cant wait for the patch but in all honesty the game needs at least one more patch like this and possibly two.
Hope leads to disappointment.

We had hope for the game release too.
this is not new. it s the beta patch we already heard of and many people using since friday
it helped some, but did nothing for others
Cool, lets wait and see if they can deliver. I hope in later patches they revamp the family tree and remove capture points, aside from sieges.
I've had this patch for days, all you need to do is enable beta patches for Rome 2. I can confirm that the Campaign AI is MUCH improved and battles are much longer (just had a 30 minute combined land/sea battle), but the optimization stuff that they added hasn't helped me and the BAI is meh at best. But hey, 5 patches down the road we're going to be seeing a game that is much improved on the game we got a few weeks ago.
I have beta patch 2 and there is no change for me for the heavy lags when zooming in battle.
