adjusting difficulty (stupid question)

Forgive the stupid question, but how the heck do I adjust difficulty?

In the past on the campaign start screen there was a campaign and BAI difficulty slider, can't find it in this one

There is a difficulty slider that controls both campaign and battle difficulty at the start screen.I think you can change the battle difficulty in game by going to options menu.

Do you mean the campaign start screen or the overall start screen (i.e. new game, quit to desktop etc.) if the latter explains why I didn't see it...
