When and how often do you auto resolve?

After the first or second imperium level, either I end up auto resolving every battle or starting a new campaign altogether...campaign mode is simply, another game separate from battle mode altogether, I think.

When and how often do you auto resolve a battle?

I only fight in battle mode if it looks like it is going to be a interesting battle, or if I need to sack a city and have lots of troops left to defend against immediate reprisals (with auto resolve I lose WAY more soldiers), or if the computer says I am going to lose the auto resolve, but I know I can pull out the victory.

i autoresolve until i call on it. IF a battle is saying im gonna have 70% or less after the battle then I'll fight it unless t is the last battle for a province. If its 1:3 odds and the a has a bunch of slingers/levies and its says ill have 30% after, Ill fight it out on the BM. Anything more is a waste of time. There's been times when i've said out loud " bull ing " when examining the auto resolve results and my roommate asks "What is it?" lol

then i respond "Nothing, you know the game I play right? well its trying to cheat me again"

When and how often do you auto resolve a battle?

Any battle that I can win with at least 75% survival rate. I refuse to autoresolve if it turns me I will lose like 50-70% of my men when if I play the battle I will lose like 200 guys max.

I will also autoresolve if I know its impossible to win like if a full stack attacks an undefended town. It's not even worth trying to inflict as much damage as possible because they can replenish in 1 turn

I will use auto resolve if it is in my territory where my units will replenish or I have at least 80% survival rate. If I am campaigning in enemy territory I will almost always fight it out because I want to keep losses to a minimum.

I pretty much only fight battles where I face overwhelming odds. like 1 of my army stack vs 4. pretty awesome fights. after they finally end, the map will have 4 areas with body piles. I can't wait for the official patch 2. I doubt I can handle 4 stacks with elite units in them. but then ai wouldn't be able to afford as many stacks with elite units. so probably 1 elite stack vs 2 ai elite stacks, gona be a good challenge

I just hope they fix the "mobbing." The lack of rank and discipline even among elites is quite annoying when trying to fight a tactical battle.

Discovered that i cant really autoresolve with elephants in an army unless i wanna lose them, even when the odds are 99% positive the elephants either take at least a very big blow or i lose them alltogether. I hope this is just some more beta stuff thats needs to be fixed cause its stupid and also annoying.

Probably 80% of the time. If it looks like a tough battle or the auto casualty rate is off. It gives way to much credit to garrison units. Probably more than any other game. Especially cities. I fight ~10% of city battles if that. Usually its just attacking a pathetic garrison or defending from a suicidal micro army.

In turn 150 or so, I control about 75 settlements. I've played 3 battles total and autoresolved hundreds. My computer doesn't take kindly to R2TW's graphics.

The only time I don't auto-resolve is when I'll lose over sixty percent, as long as its over 60% you'll never lose squads and since they don't hemorrhage experience theirs no point to fighting otherwise but their is one exception. Civil wars, which are actually fun, because your facing the most upgraded of all of your troops.

I have had occasions when the resolve gives me a clear victory, when I know for a fact I would most likely lose if I played manually (enemy full stack of spears vs 6 mixed troops and 2 javelin boatmen), AI on the offense. I resolved that and won

This happens to me a lot of times... Playing as Suebi I'm facing full stacks of Shor Swords that I know I can't win, but the auto-resolve save me sometimes.

I autoresolve when I am fighting against 1 or 2 units with my full stack army or if it is a naval battle.

i never auto-resolve land battles, but i do with all naval battles... they are incredibly bugged, and too much pain to control..
