Shogun 2 was 50 dollars at release. Rome 2 is 60. I don't see why its so alarming that this game is the normal price for a high-budget game.

The nominal price of games is still what it was a decade ago. There was a point where an ounce bought you six new releases. Today an ounce buys you 23 new releases.

Inflation. Even with $60 listed price they aint earning enough, hence DLCs. Honestly, games nowadays are quite cheap compared to a decade ago :->
