After modding some files for my mod. I try to start it up running through the BI exe and get this CTD. data/animations/ SG 01 idle 01.cas cannot be found.
Help would be appreciated. It CTDs using either exe.

You are missing an animation file. What animations did you edit?
-Voice of the Celtic warriors in EB 1 and writer of the original tutorial on sound and music editing for RTW.

I guess you messed a bit with the anim pack, didn't you?![]()
I just edited all my anims this morning so as to implement the anim pack (RTR+EB anims) to my RTRPE game, along with some animations done by Prometheus for his Res Gestae mod. Luckily, it almost went without any bug right from the first try!
Anyway, it seems your CTD is related to a skeleton you added in DMB, but without linking it to an animation type. Just my two cents though, someone here may correct me if I'm wrong...
Did you:
1) unpack both pack.dat and skeletons.dat in your animations folder*
2) add the skeletons you want
3) update the text files (I don't remember what their name is, there are two, I thinks it's anim.txt and anim_list.txt)
4) repack everything*
*using the xidx tool by Vercingetorix. Everything is explained in it, you sould understand how it works. At least I did, and that's the way I worked it![]()

As far as I get permission from Prometheus to release it, I have no problem doing it. The thing here is that you'll only get the pack.dat and skeletons.dat that go in the data/animations folder (for I'm using a heavily modded Imperator II DMB). Then it's up to people to implement them in their own DMB.
Oh well, I'll ask Prom and see what I can do about it...
