Special Units Thread.

Looking through all the units available with the custom Battles, I generally decide which faction I'm going to play as by what units they have, but I've realized that many units are only available through certain means.

For example, the Elder Goats for the Ordona. Anyone know how to get them? In their description it reads that they can be found 'deep in the mountains to the south.', but Conquering the lands below the starting point doesn't help.

So I was thinking everyone could post what they know about the special units in the game, where to find them, how to get them, or even if it is possible to recruit them at all!

All I really know is that you can recruit Malon in the Lon Lon ranch area for 1000 Rupees. Thats, uhm, that's all I got.

You can look for instructions on how to obtain them in the development threads. The Elder Goats and Wind Witches are an exception: their events are not yet in the game.

Personally Im not a big fan of all the special units, I would rather have them be a unit that you can get by building up your barracks/cavalry ranches and scrips can slow down the rate at which AI turns go. There is a few I like I suppose such as the garrison scrip spawning Triforce vanguard when you siege Hyrule prime.

Also, units in the title shouldn't be capitalized.

In the file ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\Hyrule\data\export_descr_buildings.txt are mentioned some recruitable units that requires certain buildings besides smith and barracks. For example, Bronze Knuckle recuitable with spirit temple and heavy armourer for gerudo, and Avatar of Majora being recruitable by having the church of majora for the twili; I have not test them if it works. There are other units that are writed in that file but they are commented(planned but not being recruitable in the campaing?), like triforce vanguard and rugby gardians.

It would be interesting to have other special units being recruitable via special or unique buildings but i don´t know if this would unbalance the campaing.
