Default Still the same campaign map lag after patch 2 beta?

So many people have been prostrating themselves and worshiping patch 2 even though it should have been that way on launch...but let's not get too euphoric.

    - Whenever you select an agent or army, or anything with 3d portrait FPS drops significantly and stays that way until you get out of it.

    - Later campaign or even mid campaign map performance is dismal - I have a decent enough rig and nothing higher than 'high' and I am still getting 19 fps if I am lucky - and that's when it's not active. Usually it's 15 fps average.

    - Bigger your empire, greater the lag to unplayable levels. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like having 10+ provinces.

Any words, CA? You are going to keep working on this right?

I understand that the game should have been better upon release, and I've agreed with this sentiment. I also agree that there is still much to work on in Rome II.

That being said, patch 2 has given me a fairly significant campaign map fps boost. I've also gotten a battle map fps boost as well, albeit not as much.

Given the state of the game at release, which was only a couple of weeks ago, I'm cautiously optimistic that CA is serious about polishing this into a great game.

This patch, for me at least, made the game a whole lot more fun. Given it's only been 2 weeks, I would be willing to bet there is a lot more to come. Just gotta be patient I guess.
