    Default Why do double unit size units only half-disembark from boats?

    It's killing my naval battles and sieges, half the enemy men get off and just stand there and the rest stay in the boat 10 meters from shore! GAH! Anyone know of a workaround?

    And the naval battles with the dual-boat units are just spannered.

    I'm doubled the unit size via the save game editor by the way. I really don't want to go back to using paltry units of 160!

    I guess you've discovered the reason why CA reduced the unit sizes: sea landings. Rome 2 just gets more and more disappointing, we can't even modify the unit sizes to decent scale without it breaking the gameplay.

    I'm sure the fix would be simple to implement - all they have to do is land all of their boats!

    If my memory is correct, each unit basically needs 2 landing spots and it should work. If you do the auto-land with a few units selected it only takes up one landing spot and only half the men disembark. Single select each unit and choose the landing spot. Should work.

    AI can't handle it though so most of the time they get stuck.

    Yeah it's only when the AI land. Kills an entire aspect of the game unless I go back to 160 men per unit which would suck a twirling dick.

    Currently yes, but it's weird that boats would even be multiplied, rather than just all men crammed into a single boat. (Which I would prefer btw - if anyone knows how throw me a line)

    There are UI details and pathway highlighters for the double-unit boats and it makes me wonder that maybe it should work, but currently doesn't.

    I think early on they were talking about naval units that had more than one ship each. Clearly that idea failed at some point.
