    I'm not understanding the first step to 2 half of the tutorial. I took a picture of the of the buildings_units_allowed file (I put it up because I learn better by seeing what I'm suppose to do.). But I'm confused when it comes to the key what I'm I suppose to do come up with a new number of higher value?

    Ranantal: if it isn't in local_ru.pack/text/db I don't know where it would be.

    Man of West Gondor: I assumed it was the big number under the unknown tab, as there seems to be a unique number for every unit. Try it and see if it works. I didn't get mine working yet.

    Man of West Gondor: Yes that number must be changed to a unique value. You probably need to update the schema files of your PFM, in the latest version that column has the name key and the same applies to other columns with "unknown" tags in other tables.

    I am sorry that I do not answer your posts or add to and refine the tutorial, but I am also preoccupied with a RL project for work that popped up yesterday. Will do so sometime within the week.

    @ blackheartz: Thank you!, for letting me know about the Schema file updates , Now I see it, and highest number is 50169, so would I just put 50170 for my custom unit correct? And would I put the same key for this on every next level building?

    Anyone know if the game crashes when you try to boot up with a new unit, is there any way to tell what specifically is wrong? And thanks blackheartz.

    I was messing with those cards and still no luck, I must be blind but i dont see any other way how to make custom cards work wth custom units.......

    My custom units was working fine, but there is one thing that i don't know how to make them to be general bodyguard in campaign map?

    That's stated in the OP

    EDIT: blackheartz, perhaps you should teach how to make these modular, with the table prefixes? And to delete all rows in that table that you haven't used, just so that future unit packs that get released with this tutorial are all compatible

    Currently the only ways I can get unit cards to work it if they are in a movie pack or you put the png in the correct local directory. In mod pack type, it will always crash.

    izanagi11: Thanks for the info. Great find. I tried custom unit cards in movie packs and they indeed work. Funny thing is that if that custom units do not show up if the mod is a movie pack so a mod that adds both will have to be "cut" in two for now.

    I wonder if this unit cards problem will get patched, sure is a pain.

    I cant make it work, i had 2 packs - 1. movie where only cards are 2. whole unit pack without cards, in unit_variants table i placed in last colum called unit card exact same names as are on unit cards - result is still crash. If i placed unit_variants table with unit cards into movie pack then cards didnt changed but it worked.

    Help will be very good.

    I tried editing some units, but somehow it does nothing. I edited the charge bonus of the Celtic Longbowman (just testing), no new unit, just a stat change. Started a custom battle, and the value remains the same.
    I`m currently running Radious Battle and Campaign Mods, do they overrun any mods I make? What should I do? Thanks!

    hmmm. getting something very similar, change the num of men in a unit but in a custom battle nothing changes.

    Well I guess Lusted was aknowledged about it , he asked for files to submit to whoever is in charge of that department for a help eventually .

    but I still can't get the text to work my file can be downladed by my signature , the Arcani new unit .
