    Default So I was creating a new unit but how do I do to make it buildable?

    Hi I was copying more or less the similar things I have seen editing in other unique unit mods, but I do not get how toget my unit visible and appearing in he building roster or in the custom battles selection screen ... any ideas?


    So far those are the files I edited:

    All had been renamed to custom Prom_ tag so to not cause ctds ...

    db

    commander_unit_permissions_tables
    land_units_tables
    land_units_to_unit_abilites_junctions_tables
    main_units_tables
    unit_set_to_unit_junctions_tables
    unit_variants_tables
    units_to_groupings_military_permissions_tables

    text

    Prom_land_units
    Prom_unit_description_short_texts

    ui

    the icons needed

    variantmeshes

    Prom_vet_hoplites.variantmeshdefinition

    what am I missing?

    I know you will need custom battle permissions

    Did you add the building_units_allowed table?

    no cheking it seemed to add units to the garrisons?

    ok I saw that some units ar erepeated lile :

    etc ... qhat does that means?and what else should I eidt?

    Unit_buildings_allowed sets the buildings from which the units are recruitted and you will need that.
    Also to enable the unit in custom_battles you will need units_to_custom_battle_permissions.
    Finally if you are using new variantmeshdefinitions for your unit add them to variants_tables. For garrisons the armed_citizenry_units_to_unit_groups is used. But I have not worked with that yet.

    That is all I believe.

    Ok sO I added

    the unit to rom_ROMAN_military_main_Havy_4 to 1
    and pro_ROMAN_city_major 1 to 4

    nothing changed andstill not visible in the unit roster any other ideas?

    I believe that the tables you mentioned plus the ones I did are all you need. I might be forgetting something but I have not access to my mod right now and I cannot dl it, I am at work . You can check the files yourself and see if something else is missing.

    oh btw could it be couse I am testing in a saved game?

    How can I do to add to the multiplayer list to test directly ingame?

    Ok here is the list of all the stuff I placed for the unit , I followed he tutorial of Shogun II and adapted to Rome II ...




    I don't think anything is missing, I have made the variantmesh profile and also created an ad hoc unit icon , but it doesn't shows up ..

    Use this units_to_custom_battle_permissions to add it to custom battles for testing.

    I tried to make Legionaries to be built in campaign.
    I have tried to add Legionaries to rom_ROMAN_military_main_Havy_3, in "building_unit_allowed", added new unique number, it dose not show up.
    I tried to replace Praetorian with Legionaries, Praetroian disapear, but Legionaries still doesn't show up.
    It still shows in custom battle.

    "I noticed when you right click a particular unit in custom battle unit selection and information screen, if this particular unit is build-able in campaign, the description in encyclopedia will have building required showed on the right hand side." - seems I was wrong on this

    It is still not appearing !
    neither in custom battles neither in line of buildings I can't get what's wrong , any expert around with this stuff that wants to take a look at my files?

    You mean why doesn't the unit show up as recruitable in the building info?

    yes doesn't shows anywhee niether in custom battles neither in campaign .

    Are you saving it as a movie or a mod .pack? If it's mod, are you activating it via mod manager?

    I made Cataphracts recruitable for sparta just for fun. I basically replaced the building_id and added numbers from 40000 and upwards in unknown5 column. PFM cleaded everything and the table was saved as mn_building_units_allowed. Maybe this helps
