Patch 2 Beta Test Video

With Patch 2.0 I started a new campaign as Sparta, a faction I've reached turn 144 so far in my main campaign, to see how the turn times are the beginning and to appreciate differences between AI decision making in the first turns versus my vanilla experience.

Video features roughly 40 minutes of Campaign Footage as Sparta in the initial turns.

My thoughts: Best CAI ever made in a TW game, beats even Darthmod. It still needs some work, as CA has admitted themselves, but very solid job.

Some slight BAI improvements, still needs major work in siege battles.

Very small performance increase for me personally. Turn time speed improved somewhat.

The 2nd patch, which is in beta, does help the combat somewhat, but it is not anywhere near good enough, more work needs to be done. The campaign is still very boring and easy. And honestly, after going back to playing kingdoms for a bit, Rome 2 looks like a downgrade. This game would have been awesome if it had come out after Rome 1. but now its just silly. Massive overhaul through patches needed to salvage this game. Modders may be able to convert it into something worth playing as well. Sry CA... just my opinion. I still buy your games and am a big fan. But real friends will tell you the truth, not what you want to hear. -GreatSword

should i remove radious AI mod, since they seem to have fixed the AI alot?

I would not be able to answer that given that I don't use Radious AI mod. However the AI does recruit better types of units and it's build order is very much so improved.
