I'm trying to edit unit stats but can't figure it out. I've been reading through forums. Anybody able to post a basic but thorough tutorial in a low-syllabic fashion?

I'm gonna assume you already have the PFM. Also, personally, I just made a copy of the vanilla data pack. I haven't made a mod pack in several months and can't figure it out.
1. Open up the data_rome2.pack in the PFM, and hit the '+' to expand the menu.
2. Find the table you wish to edit. For unit stats, it's mainly the land_units_tables for the stats, or the main_units_table for unit cap limits.
3. Find the stat in the category you wish to change and change it.
4. Under the 'Options' menu, deselect 'CA packs are read only'
5. Save
As I said earlier, I don't make a separate mod pack, I just edit the data pack directly and keep an untouched one in reserve to just copy and replace when need be.
Thank you, also anyone know how to edit missile damage for units? I can see the amours, melee attack and so on, but cant seem to find the entry's for missile damage units do.

IIRC, unlike RTW or MTWII projectile damage is based off weapon/projectile type, not by individual unit. If you look at 'projectiles' under the 'projectiles_tables' you'll be able to edit damage and range, etc. The catch is you'll need to know: a) what projectile you're using and b) the change will apply to all units using that projectile, including the AI.
Ah I see, so its roman_longbow which will dictate the damage the German longbow lads will do and so on, good to know, thanks. Also makes things bit more awkward as-well as to figure out what you'll be facing![]()
