The AI's most crucial flaw is it's inability to properly defend itself, let alone launching proper invasions. Why does the AI refuse to protect it's provincial capitals? It immediately retreats it's forces on the campaign map away from your full stack, no matter if they could easily repel you if they only played defensively. This is how I captured Carthage as Rome, I sent a transport army across the sea, and the next end turn phase I saw ALL the Carthaginian forces retreat out and away from their capital. Yes, this did cause me to rage quit that game. It was disgusting. As for the fundamental battle AI issue, it's rather obviously their inability to defend their capture points during sieges. They -never- defend it properly. Ever.
So anyway, I'd like some technical support on how to modify the AI's values so it's not so brain dead during sieges, and mentally challenged during the campaign. Thanks for the support, it's up to us to fix the mess that is the AI, yet again.
