Default Client States-The spoiled trust fund brats of the ancient world.

In my first play through (as Rome) I made Messela a client state to shore up my northern frontier before my invasion of those barbarian tribes ( who I cannot recall the names of but is irrelevant due to their pending doom). I also wanted to find out how the feature would play out in the game.

Well so far, they are always asking for money just because I have some, always asking for money to fund wars that they started, asking me to declare war on a dozen factions that I had no plan in doing at the time.

These guys are like my cousin, always swinging by unannounced with their hand out for something.

Now although it is irritating, the diplomatic mechanics of it make sense. Shore up your relation with a big power and have their support to back up your regional dreams of conquest.

I get random offers to become my client state from factions halfway across the world who I've never spoke to, idn why but it's good for the ego.
