I WANT THIS ONEeeeeeeee !!!!!!! The dream. Thx Willyum3249

But This one is most probably the Primus pilus of the Coh I (not Eagle cohort, Historically this one not existing)

    It's just a reflextion
To make things completely, then why, in the future, if it is possible to put this centurion at the right side of 1st rank and Aquilifer in the mddle of third rank in the Coh I (what would historically be correct)

great job, i love this mod. especially the marian legions variety, very immersive. i would also really love to see the tranverse crests for centurions, but as you said, the only one is the one the Spartan heroes wear on their helmets, which may be a little wide, but might look alright? http://chrisleighphotography.com/wp-...ccgk80.th.jpeg

    Thank you for answers

I'll wait for the centurion . It is incredible that CA missed it. It is nevertheless the symbol which everybody knows. Who has never seen the repésentation of a centurion!!

The Aquilifer of the Eagle cohort still has his wolf skin. He has to be afraid of lions

    BOOM!

Will be aiming for an officers pack v2 WITH TRAVERSE CRESTS!!! I'll try out different ones.

It's not Roman, but it gets the point across.

Yep, I'll be making red ones, and I will be adding greaves and torcs to them too!

I will release the centurions tonight.

10 000 thanks to you !!!!! The pics 2 et 3 are great, no the first one. the black/grey crests are history too but I prefer the red ones too Could you describe me how you make? What software do you use? I shall want to try because I'd love making my own personal Roman army I still thank you for your great work and time spent

I saw in one of jacks posts that most helmets have front to back and left to right attach points, does that just mean that they can have both types of crest attched, rather than being able to choose whether any crest goes back to front or left to right?

If possible, some 'before' and 'after' screens of the units would really be appreciated, just to emphasise the differences. Keep up the great work.

Its the only transverse crest available at the moment from editing the codes in PFM

    UPDATE:

Had to get rid of Imperial Gallic G due to clipping issues (the back of the soldiers' heads were showing through the the helmets). I do not know how to solve this issue as I am inexperienced.

Re-Submitting the updated Officers Re-Done folder. The current download will include 2 packs:

    1) LAV_Officers_Redone_1.pack (Vanilla Crests)
    2) LAV_Officers_Redone_2.pack (Make-Shift Transverse Crests)

Both packs will include new armour types, torcs, and greaves for centurions.

Re-Submitted Adamklissi Legionaries, replaced Imperial Gallic G with Imperial Italic.

Taken pictures containing centurions and legionaries wearing the Imperial Gallic G off the previews, will replace with new images.

    dam nice job!

question: how to get my marian legionaries to use the shields in your screenshot? mine are using the "imperial" ones with the yellow logo, and some are using principes' shields. did i install something wrong? by the way im using the faction uniform color mod

Thanks for the heads up, I thought I had updated the file, but it probably didn't save. The shield types should be those of the triarii and hastati, of the republic. Apologies, I will upload an updated version immediately!!

That's really embarrassing. The file already had quite a few downloads, so there will be a lot of people with marian legionaries with imperial shields.... I hope they come back and download the new one! Thanks for the heads up mate!

You should add those trousers from the marian legionaries to the auxilia, the soldiers in the hamata and tunic look a bit out of place since everyone else is wearing trousers. Maybe add some of the celtic/germanic scarves too?

Oh as well I was having a look round some of the files and there is a crest called "left to right hoplite crest red" or something like that, I personally lack even the vaguest idea of how to try it but I thought you might want to try it out to see how it looks as a centurion crest.

@Willyum Thanks, I appreciate the patience and the encouraging compliments!

@dom385 - The ones I am using are "hoplite_crest_sideways_large"; "hoplite_crest_sideways_red_1" etc. are these the ones you are referring to, or have I overlooked some files? At the moment, I've got transverse crests fixed up for my imperial centurions, but I would like a few for my marian centurions (for their attic helmets). There seems to be something wrong at the moment though, as the crests keep attaching themselves to the their mid-sections rather than their helmets!I will do all of the suggested for the auxilia, and they should be ready by tomorrow.

edit: fixed, they require at least one ".rigid_model_v2" piece of equipment in the helmets list; only then will they attach themselves to other ".VariantMeshDefinition" models.

Great Stuff!! - I can't believe you have no modding/skinning experience - "some may only get inspired what some can do if some have the passion and will (and of course the historical knowledge)!

+Rep, as already mentioned at the moment this are the best Rome II units available....thank you very much.

I think that was the one I saw, there were some underneath called hoplite crest feather or something which I thought was the ones that spartans/ your centurions used. Great work anyway, my favorites are the socii units, that definitely seemed like one of the areas where ca had been lazy.I tried adding the basic celtic trousers to the default auxilia unit and it had very strange results. I got half a unit of legs and half a unit of normal auxilia soldiers but no one had a weapon or shield.
