    Default Metric system in db?

Does CA use metric system in db for range, speed, height etc. parameters?

I think it's their own measure system and 1 unit represents more or less a height of standard human model (in Rome2 it would be the one with height ration set to 1, not those upscaled barbarians, or downscaled romans). Therefore about 1.7m, or 1.8m, or 2 yards.
To make sure, set the range of some projectile to 2 and check the unit range ingame (for some reason you would not see range set to 1).

It's all done in metric so range is in metres as is height and speed is metres per second.

Well, If Jack says it's in meters, then it is, but here is what makes me wander... I took a picture showing a range of 2.

Do they throw javelins from standing or running forward like real javelins?

There's your problem chief. They release forward of where they are at rest.

Thanks for answer. I'm collecting historical sources about movement speed, marching rates etc. and im trying to understand your methodology. Can you write something about about CA's calculation of movement speed? I understand that Rome 2 is not simulator only game inspirated by ancient history and not only historical sources determinate your work. It's quite natural for commercial product.

Ok. I've probably made a mistake assuming that the count starts at the feet of the first line. Nevermind. It's great to know for sure now.
