If this is what it seems to be then: HAHAHA! So much to "no holding back", "extra content is costly", "why are you having issues with extra paying for things?", I can only shake my head about this.
THEY 4GOT TO MENTION. the whole game costs 100 dollars
Are these just place holder scripts? Or are these historical battles in the game just not activated?
Why don't they just make a dlc for viewing extra parts of the campaign map and a tutorial dlc ?

No magnesia, entirely dissapointed. Fix the game first!
Veritas Temporis Filia
Well, at least I like this list.^^ I guess 2-3 are even for free.
60 dollars for the trial version! first 4 are FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE! sweet man!we got 4 free historical battles!!!
What's wrong with that? They planned some later DLC, I would argue that that's a good thing.
these were probably planned to be with the release but naturally it was rushed so the only ones that were not utterly incomplete were passed off.
i mean just look at battle of carthage. it ising sad.

Wasn't this pretty obvious? The whole way historical battles are set up means there's room to add more.

This game was planned to be a money grubbing scam from the very start. It's quite sad really.
From a PR they are "palceholder" without a doubt, however I suspect more of the second.

To be honest this is the only sort of DLC I'd be okay with. Keeping factions and units from us to they can chop the game up and sell it in expensive little pieces is wrong, but they can pump out as many historical battles as they like as far as I'm concerned.
I believe CA should give Historical battles for free, this is something they should not charge for. Giving the Seleucid Empire for free was a must anyway, the faction should of been included with the release, since it's historically one of the most powerful and largest factions on the game map. Now if they expand the campaign map and add some of India and the Tarim basin along with the Maurya Empire, including nicely done units, culture and architecture, then sure charge for the extension...
