[Request] Merging Carthage starpos.esf Help

The Title says it all.

I'm hoping to merge a few of the factions.
Does anyone know any of the following:

• Removing a faction
• Changing a factions starting Parties

An example I'm starting with is merging Carthage with Nova Carthage and adding Nova to the political parties.

You'll need to look in the startpos to change starting provs ownership I believe aswell as the data files

from what I can tell, you need to edit more than a single file in the startpos.esf

The files are referenced poorly, factions, arrays, provinces, regions, settlements all seem to use different references. Has anyone actually successfully removed a faction and given it's starting regions to another faction?
