Default Using EB stats in Rome II

Basically i want to take the stats in EB and port them over, matching as best i can the units that are in both (some will be easy, levy pikes and Phalangitai Deuteroi probably would be a reasonable match though maybe the native phalanx might be better this is what will take time). So for this i was wondering if i needed permission to use them and who to contact about it if i do (since the EB team is so large and members who are in it now might not be able to give permission)?
Were there but a tree in this godforsaken place i would have hanged myself.

I'm not sure how well that'll go. IIRC ROme 2 uses a different system for judging stats than the Rome 1 engine does. It's worth a try though just to see how it turns out. You couldn't possibly make the battles any quicker, from what I've seen.

The battles should definitely be slower since just at a glance a barbarian cavalry has 34 damage in melee whereas in EB a similar unit has 8, though the charge bonus of units seems almost swapped ie. in EB the charge is high (eg. 25) and the attack is low (8) but in Rome 2 it would be closer to 34 attack and 8 charge bonus. This will need to be tested or it might give weird results like a unit disintegrating under a light cavalry charge.

Honestly, you shouldn't have any issues using stats from EB, especially if it's only for personal use. It's not like you're completely ripping off unit models or anything without asking.

He got permission anyways. I guess unethical posting has its merits after all

I wonder how these realism mods got to that point of balance. I suppose it started with RTR doing a point-and-shoot with jacked up stats for longer battle times and refining it from there.
all hail the flying spaghetti monster!
