WTF!!!Is this a joke?I will never preorder anything again.Never.How they dare!!!But there's gonna be a reason and that is reviews. So probably the game is not selling, so they choose to lower the price to get more "satisfied" customers. This is totally wrong. And I have bought a game for full price, which bores me to death. And modders should fix this mess, for free.Good for CA, they really taken a step forward to f.. up their whole company.I hope they will end up with loss for this!!!!!

I pre-ordered a copy from Amazon UK for £29,99, (got it for £25,80). I only received it yesterday as I opted for a free snail mail delivery.

    Wtf...

Oh well, got the Greek States DLC for free at least... Yay...

Time to quote the Guardian TWR2 review again:

Rome II feels like an unfinished game. It is a cruel fact that if you pick this up in a Steam sale in six months' time you'll get a much better experience, and the people who were foolish enough to put their faith and money upfront get the worst of it.
Silly Guardian... Two weeks, not six months. They got the timeframe all wrong.

Yeah but in the 6 months he was hoping it would be nicely patched up and lovingly fixed!
CA have said that the community will be involved in open Beta next release's. If this holds true I will still pre-order their games. I have been caught out before, ETW(messed up sound files)and MTW2(two handed weapon bug)were the worse for me.
I have in the past always supported CA, even buying their products where I didn't think I would like them. For fans like me they should just have a donate cash site!

The problem for me is the battles in STW2 and RTW2 are just silly fast, so if I have to wait for decent auto install mods(I'm to dumb with PC's to swap files about)to make them fun, I might as well just wait.
The problem is, I want to get a good look at the new stuff first hand!

The price drop is in pounds. In euro it is still the same. Btw wasn't the pounds price in steam/amazon already like that?

Yes, was and still is £29.99. That's €35.60 and $47.40, respectively.

The price in Finnish on-line game shops is still around €50, this is a significant discount.

    omg, that is hilarious!

Seems that Sega has even surpassed EA in their habit of trolling their customers. It's no secret anymore that Rome 2 is a pile of Sh... so they have to take every measure to find even more stupid customers that fall to their confidence trick.

Even now I cannot even launch the game... Game was in general sold under false advertising und can be considered as scam from my point of view.
Guess why they raised the price to 55€ instead of 50€? Those extra 5€ where for those fancy marketing videos which probably devoured a huge part of their resources.

I'm glad that I didn't pay that full price but ordered a physical copy from the UK for 35€, else I would be really mad by now.

On the bright side: Take it as a lesson. Never ever buy or pre-order PC games directly from the publisher or Steam! You will always find cheaper prices by purchasing physical copies elsewhere. Compare prices online and find the lowest. If you live in the EU you should always consider ordering games from the UK (e.g. Amazon) as they are dirt-cheap in comparison to prices in Germany or other countries.
    THIS IS...Sparta? Nah...
    Always read the FAQs
Lou337: Whenever I start up RS II before the screenshot of the city in the sunset comes up there is a line of green text on the upper left corner that says something like GTA Vice City ENB Beta v0.005 and some russian guy's email address. It's very weird.[...] I thought I was being watched by a russian hacker who played a lot of GTA.

I'm just happy because I've paid only 30€ for this beta release. It was not a pre-order but a backing for game full development. :|

This decision would of been from SEGA. CA need to get away from them asap.
