changing diplomatic relations in a save file
Hey folks, just wondering how you modify diplomatic relations in a save file. I'd like to experiment on Carthage without Roman wars beginning after turn 1.

Re: changing diplomatic relations in a save file
open the save file, suppose you know how to expand the folders to faction_array, expand it and find diplomatic option. The first faction is you. Scroll down, change war to neutral. it is advised to do a savr when you start a campaign, so you have a save file with the original conditions and settings. You can use this as a blueprint of what to change and how. It can get tricky with editing public order or stuff like that so the numbers make more sense when you have a CA set virgin save file - it is mostly 'reverse engineering'. I you make notes of whaz is happening in your campaing and make a save file periodically and then see how the entries changed and how they reflect on the present conditions ingame, the save file entries and particulars start making sense. If you need a more detailed version of where, what and how to change I will provide the path and entries and screenies by all means.

ah I see, so I may either have to pioneer it myself, or wait until the Editsf program is updated with more Rome II clarity.
