Palisade?
I see many screenshots where archers are protected by a palisade in front of them, to prevent cavalry charge, anyone know how they will work? I wuold be great if you can set them before you start a defensive battle!

Re: Palisade?
Yes I am wondering the same thing, there doesn´t seem to be room for more than 1 special ability in the pics so this might mean that...
1. stakes can be a special ability only used by English longbowmen (hope not) and be setup before battle and then have the fire arrow ability when battle commences or
2. Longbowmen have stakes as a special ability and not flaming arrows.
Has anyone seen other archer units with stakes apart from above? If #1 is the case, which I hope, then it might be possible for the mounds the cannons are standing on (seen on a few pics) to be a similar special ability that is build during the deployment stage. Only speculating though.

I only hope that they aren't static object used only in historical battles!

Re: Palisade?
The archers in the Battle of Avincourt could still fire flaming arrows (which is also recommended for the battle). My guess is that certain archers (like the english longbowmen) will automatically get them placed in front of them on a defenseive battle.
