Pupblic Beta's can be good at getting a lot of input, but be sure to announce that your download is a beta and people need to realize there might be problems.

A smaller select group for beta-testing can sometimes be easier to deal with and get good solid positive feedback from. A small group requires having contacts with people you trust though to be thorough in their testing and providing feedback.

Do you need this one to remain open? I think you should start to put your foot down and make decisions without consulting everybody.

But, then again, that`s no way to get reputaion points, is it?
