    Default A couple of queries/observations

    First off...bloody good show...a great mod.

    a)Mines? seems that one can only build them in a province with silver or in one with gold, copper and iron all being present.
    b) Bardic Circles..have to build them so one can yet assassins (well don't allways want to fight fair now do we! with all them damm Germans around) but a bonus to the Pagan faith? bit unfair to Christian nations don't you think.

    b) General units..various points..

    1) Anglo-Saxons and Picts can build them but Britons and Irish can not.
    2) Jutes(Eoteans) have the choice of two, Eoten Cnithas and Gesithas, is it a random chance of either being the Generals guard?
    3) Quite a number of Generals start off with the wrong bodyguard type.

    c) Galwyddel Aulue (Briton) available in custom battles but not in the campaign.

    1) It will be changed for the next update - actually Picts can't recruit Mormaers, AS can recruit Gesithas, Britons can recruit Marchomawr that are exactly the same as Teulu, and Gaels cant recruit Arras

    2) I guess only Eoten Cnithas can be general bodyguards in campaign

    3) Precisions?

    c) We will dress up a little AoR system for the next updates, it is just to avoid Britons able to train Irish troops when not on Irish sea coast.

    actually Picts can't recruit Mormaers
    ahh just an oversight then was not sure as one can at the moment.

    Thank you very much for going to the trouble of compiling that list, although I must say, I've just checked (started a new campaign as Llydaw, used toggle_fow and toggle_perfect_spy) and although I haven't checked every single entry, I've only found one entry on your list (Fergus of Dal Riada in Dun Ranma has Curadha) Otherwise it's fine for me, all Britons have Teulu, all Picts have Mormaers etc. Have you installed the 0.61 patch?

    I noticed something interesting though. As far as I can see, all the generals on your list are garissoned in a settlement at the beginning of the game. In every case, even though my generals have correct bodyguards, the next unit in the settlement (ie leftmost after the general) is the same as the one you report (After Arthur is an Aulue, after Tudgual is a Rherel, after Hengest is a Ceorlwerod etc.)

    Very strange. Is anyone else having this problem?

    the general units should ideally be the first ones to be listed in the descr_strat, but most are not, this is probably causing some display errors and maybe problems with cheats.

    however, only units that have the general_unit attribute can be bodyguards for family members and generals. This is causing some cosmetic problems, but nothing troublesome (they have the right gens in battles though). It will be corrected in the next patch.

    Family Member bodyguards:

    Jutes have Eóredmaecgas, which are recruitable.

    All other Germanics have Gesithas as family member bodyguards

    All Germanics can recruit Gesithas and Wulfbyrnan as generals

    some factions can recruit their family member bodyguards as generals, except the britons which recruit Marchomawr instead of Teulu, Arras cannot be recruited also, but the Gaels can recruit Deaisbard as general units.

    The reason for this is, that Germanic generals are more available, so that there is a better chance the AI Germanics have leader4s for their armies. This is a balancing aspect.
