Battle speeches are in the game!!! (says the manual)

sry if that was posted before, but i just browsed through the ingame manual in the encyclopedia and there it says Generals would have a battle speech in the deployment phase


seems like there could ve been so much more, they planned to make it the best and most complete TW game ever, but then rushed it 6 months early





instead we got the most incomplete TW game now. even guard mode is gone : /
such a basic and most important tactical feature

They talk, just when you've deployed instead of before.

i m talking about the real pre-battle speeches of the general, not the random chatter of your soldiers

They start after you click "start battle" Which is great because you don't have to click away anything and listening to it wont cost you any time.

Once you start battle, zoom in on your general unit and he will give a battle speech. CA is not at fault for your ignorance.

Yup, the general starts talking when you deploy the troop.

To think, I would had never found it out; due, to my computer lagging.

Speeches? I wouldn't call what's in the game speeches they're barely more than a sentence.

yea, i noticed that too but it isnt a real pre-battle speech and nothing as we had before...

sorry, it s german but it says clearly PRE-BATTLE speech.

it also says it prepares his men for the enemy and that the speech reflect the generals experience, abilities and character traits. what we have in the game is nothing like that

I noticed that my characters with the strange trait would refer to the fact some say they are touched. To be fair the pre battle speeches were always flimsy and repetative, atleast now you don't have to skip them. Sons of the wolf and the bear anyone?

It's there, just not as a cutscene as you're used to in Shogun 2.
Reminds me of Rome I, where the general made a speech.
