I really didn't understand much about the politics system of Rome 2 and I didn't bother to look at it that much. My first TW game was Medieval 2. So anyway, I'm doing Carthage in hard difficulty and Spain and Northwestern Africa is under my control. Rome became my client state with only Corsica as its territory. As I was smoothly conquering the whole of Italia from a northern Italian tribe with Apollonia captured in Greece from Rome, suddenly out of nowhere with no warning, a civil war erupts and I no longer control the capital Carthago. The amount of forces and fleets this loyalist faction has just out of nowhere shocked me. I was able to get Nova Carthago to aid me with a payment of about 900 but Libya doesn't want to join in on the war.
