Radious has already started with a mod. You should download his mods and start playing.

Uhh, if you play Total War because it feels real than your concept of reality might be a little warped...but it's up to you. Maybe wait for a few more patches if you want to avoid technical problems, than add what mods you like the look of.

Definitely wait for mods and patches. The game simply isn't fun at the moment.

The game works quite well for me with no crashes and decent AI, better than previous games except for it sometimes moving armies away from settlement about to be attacked. The radious movement mod is good though, the one that changes buildings gives you way too much money.

The game plays OK for me at the moment.

I've had a couple of CTDs in the 92 hours that I've played the game so far.

The game is not perfect but it's certainly playable (I was not happy to find I had a Macedonian civil war on my hands). My Empire stretched from Gaul to Macedon (incuding Italy and Sicily) and I was limted to 9 armies to hold all this - then that number of armies (elite units I believe) pop up in Pella and my income plmmets from a few thousand per turn to a hundred or so.....

I've not installed any mods so far.

I don't think any mod can fix this. And why modders should put this mess together? What is this? A homemade game? This game has lost it spirit, which is something that can be brought back by any mods.In Medieval II I weren't using any mods and how much fun I've had!

I advice not to waste time and wait for mod or even use the ones which are already made, though if you have spare time and have nothing to do you can play... since first patch I'm getting crashes often and it can be frustrating.

It's fun for me right now, and it runs great on my machine, but sadly it lacks long term appeal, which I don't think is fixable.

I am on turn 102 right now, and have experienced no technical difficulties.

I always suggest Roma Surrectum 2.5 which is fantastic.
