    Default Help with PC Gaming Rig, New to Gaming.

    Hi everyone ! I'm relativity new to PC Gaming and really enjoy the total war series. Bought Rome 2 recently plays okay but the graphics are not the best ! Need some help on what to do next as im not very knowledgeable with Graphics cards, CPU's and all the components critical to getting the most out of gaming. I'll post my specs here and any recommendations from you guys would be appreciated on what to do next, any websites to learn from etc would also be helpfulAs they say everyone starts somewhere hopefully you guys can give me a helping hand. Cheers, Specs : CPU - AMD Athlon II X2 250 Mainboard - M5A78L- M LEGraphics - AMD Raedon HD 6670Memory - 3GB Ram

    get a new pc, build one from scratch it makes more sense, you are going to change everything in there, unless you want more subpar performance with the FX line of cpus from AMD, having said that you would need more ram, another cpu, another gpu, so all in all, you would be one from scratch basically, and given the power, probably a new psu as well

    I was initially considering that i guess i better do my research on it, but what would be the major advantage in fully building your own pc rather than just a cpu and graphics update i would assume the initial upgrade would be less expensive ?

    That is the theory, it being cheaper and all. But it will be if you look in the right places for the parts you want. Although you can find a pretty good pre-built computer now and again that is cheap.

    the difference in price would be the difference in cost between the cpus and the added cost of a new mobo, if you want a new case, instead of using the old one, that way you have 2 functional desktops, for whatever that is worth

    we don't recommend pre builds for several reasons including choice of components, in the end there are some vendors that can build it for you, I know one in canada does
