Graphics Problems

So after purchasing RTW2 and finding out my graphics card isn't good enough, I have a problem. It is a laptop, so the card is integrated and can't be upgraded. II've read about external laptop graphics adapters/ docks. I'm very confused but is this a viable option and how much is it going to cost and how much know how do I need to set it up? Can anyone clarify please?
